WW2 GERMAN MESS KIT 1942 + WEB STRAP DESERT AFRIKAORPS DAK -VERY RARE !

Description

Original German AFRIKAKORPS tropical desert WWII M31 field mess kit with its matching strap as it was found! This mess tin is made from aluminium with steel handle and with its original topical olive green paint! Maker marked and 1942 assembled as it is marked with “MN41” and the soldier initials “MJBA”. Web mess tin strap. The desert coloured issue filed mess kit is definitely difficult to find.
This mess kit and its support strap have both definitely seen combat field service in Northern Africa along with the Afrikakorps and was brought back in the early 1980ies by a German construction team member (found it near El Agheila along with other German and British items!). I have always kept the mess kit +strap in the exact condition as it was found meaning as it has been over there and shows a lot of character and being true relics of the desert war!
