Overall height measures approximately 4 3/4 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide and the stone is 2 inches thick.
Clock face measures approximately 2 1/4 inches wide including the metal bezel.
Overall VERY GOOD cosmetic condition.
Beautiful and unique desk or shelf clock carved from a chunk of anthracite coal.
Clock is engraved on the front with Wilkes-Barre PA.
Most likely a souvenir piece or possibly a memento from someone who worked at one of the various rock quarries found in the area.
Anthracite has chisel marks and may possibly be a chunk of naturally quarried stone.
Small round clock movement made by New Haven is inserted into the center of the stone’s face.
The clock winds and does operate, but runs quite slow and does not keep accurate time. This may be remedied by having the clock movement properly cleaned, but we are not certain if it can be properly calibrated. We are selling this as a lovely piece of memorabilia and not representing it as an accurate timepiece.
Clock face has stains and shows honest signs of its age.
Light surface wear noted consistent with its age.
