Description
Auction estate sale acquired and likely from the 1920's or 1930's, this portable victrola does work. The gear drive looks very nice, and runs smooth. It winds up great and spins the turntable. The sound needle diaphragm is a little wobbly on the shaft, and the bushing the chrome tube sits in looks a bit aged. The photos tell the story of the scuffs, marks and damage to the case. The handle needs restoration. Of course the obvious corner of the case that looks like someone's dog got a hold of at some time, needs some work. With some care I believe this machine could be restored nicely. If someone knows the model, I would love to know what it is! The underside of the turntable and the gear drive has a stamp that says, "Thorens Swiss made"- You can see this in the pics.
This machine is sold "as is". Message me with any questions you have.
Dimensions: 15.5 x 12 x 8 inches.
