    Description

VINTAGE Metal MINER'S LOCKER BASKET from Gold country mines.
This was found at an estate sale in the gold country of Colfax, Nevada city, and Grass Valley in Northern California.
This is where the miners came during the 1849 Gold Rush.
I’m not sure what mine exactly this came out of. It could’ve even been a different kind of mine, I am not sure. But I know they were used as miners baskets.
These were used by the underground miners to store their personal belongings during their shift.
Some have part of the ID tag chain hardware still on them.
They are approx. 12” from the top hanger to the bottom ...the baskets are 14” X 14” heavy metal with a sturdy bottom rod.
