Vintage Shapleigh Hardware  St Louis Missouri.  What a history that company had.  Biggest Hardware company west of the mississippi and were big suppliers during the big gold rush.
But its a cool story.
Check this one out  especially at the bit end and check out how this one looks.  It was hammer forged probably around 1900.  I just mostly fixed up the edges to leave the rest looking rustic but cool.  This is the first one of these ive seen.
Just remember this was just a rusty old beat up axe head that i cleaned and fixed up a bit.  But to those that have bought and enjoyed our work in the past.... This is a collectible!!!  Its cool.
This head weighs approximately 3.4 pounds.
This head measures approximately 7 1/4 inches from bit to poll at center.   The bit measures approximately 4 3/4 from tip to tip.
