Royal Aristocratic RARE Antique Chinese Gilt Carved Wicker & Bamboo Lunch Box.
The top has the owner's name custom woven into the wicker.   Tranlation:
葉三房　-　Ye Sanfang - Family name and given name
Carved and gilded rare Chinese lunch or dinner box with original hardware and internal dishes.  This would have been a box for royal family members or other Aristocratic family members.
Take look at this Antique Lunch Box from China. It has many years history and still maintained very good condition. There are some traditional simple carving works on the handle and around box layers to show the traditional style of China's cultural arts. This antique lunch box is made of bamboo with hand craft Chinese traditional joinery technic. Also, there is a metal latch on the lid to lock the lunch box together and prevent spill of food.  Full of patina.
In ancient China, the Restaurant worker would take this kind of lunch box to deliver food to their wealthy customers. It is truly a wonderful collection item.
