    Description

    This lot is a Transit token issued by the Union Railway Co. in Montevideo, Uruguay.  It is listed in Smith's 1990 international transit catalog as Uruguay 460-C.  The token is 23mm in diameter and made from black celluloid.  Usage was in the late 1800's to early 1900's.  A great pictorial of an electric tram is on the reverse side.  NO problem token in very nice condition.
