Condition is used, various dings, but perfectly serviceable. Authentic wear.
These miner’s hard hats were popular in the mid-20
th
century. I used one underground in the mid 1960s.
You can still buy working lead-acid belt-hung batteries, with cable and lamp to fit this helmet. And chargers. Search on eBay.
Or you can buy new battery-operated headlamps that fit this type of holder, again, search eBay.
Many of the old acetylene lamps will hook on to this helmet, as well.
Missing the small tab at the rear of the brim that clipped the electric cord from the battery pack. So, just tie a wire loop through the two mounting holes, as we used to do.
