    Description

    From John Stanley Antique Tools.
    This listing is for an unmarked
    1 3/4 lb. Hudson Bay style axe.  In very good
    little
    used condition.  As shown in the photos the head is unmarked.  On the under side is the number '1 3/4' for the weight.  Nice lightweight thin handle.  Measures 23 3/8" long.  The head measures 6 3/16" long with a 3 5/16" wide cutting edge.  Total weight is 2 1/4 lbs.  Although unmarked, almost certainly a S&N axe as it has all the characteristics.  We live in "Nealley" country and we find an abundance of unmarked S&N axes.  Real nice user axe or add to your collection.  As shown there is a short crack on the butt end.
