Description
These beautiful binoculars have been in the family for 75 years. Seems a shame to let them go. I was quite an optics collector in the past. Of all the glasses I have owned, these were the only ones that were "family" and not purchased or traded. The binoculars come to you with NO surprises! Lenses; clean, no separation, fungus, mould or scratches that are larger than trivial. I see a small inside(?) scratch about 3mm long on one of the objective lens. It may also be a bit of fluff or just my imagination. I was sure these were un-coated lens. Looking at them today, I may be seeing a blueish tinge I had never noticed before. They may be coated. View through them is impressive! This pair of glasses comes with the "Benutzer Kapp" that protects the optics from rain or sand. By itself, original Bernutzer Kapps are highly sought after. It is original to the binoculars. Ask questions if the pictures aren't clear. Please glance at my other items. I also have a fine leather case (WW 2 German) that perfectly fits these 7 X 50 or other, similar glasses.Novice information; during WW 2, Germany sought to keep secret the names of suppliers of war materials by assigning (after 1040) a 3 digit code name to manufacturers. Thus; Carl Zeiss in Jena became "BLC".
Just had a bad experience with Canada Post! Small, light box containing a plastic toy (1/4 kg) cost me .00 CDN to ship. The toy sold for .00 + .00 shipping CDN!.
I will get you a price. I do NOT make money on shipping. Neither do I expect to loose everything, also.
