EDISON MODEL P COAL MINERS CAP LAMP PERMISSIBLE Model P, Battery Still Inside!!!

For sale is this incredibly nice & rare EDISON MODEL P COAL MINERS CAP Lamp, was made by Thomas A. Edison Inc., out of West Orange, NJ. It's extremely heavy which tells me that the lead battery is still inside, it's as heavy as a rock. The wire is in great condition, bulb still in the light, the only issue is the clear covering over the light is cracked and will need to be replaced. Looks to be glass. This was from an anthracite coal miner. Only very minor indentations from use. Compared to other ones for sell, this is in good condition. Please consult all photos to judge for yourself. It is untested however and I wouldn't know how to get this working, etc., so keep this in mind. This is a nice American made, vintage puece of industrial history.
