🍺Centennial Issue Triple Self Portrait Norman Rockwell Stein Gerz
Norman Rockwell Triple self portrait Lidded Stein Centennial Issue - This stein is slightly over 12" high including the pewter lid - "Rockwell's "Triple Self Portrait" from the February 11, 1960 cover of the Saturday Evening Post appears on the front of the stein. In honor of the centennial anniversary of Norman Rockwell's birth, S.P. Gerz GmbH has created this exquisitely detailed stein featuring a lithophane portrait of the artist. The pewter top has a pewter rendering of the portrait complete with a mirror reflecting the image of the artist (Norman Rockwell). If you hold the stein to the light, a third portrait appears in the base (this is the lithophane portrait of the artist). Handcrafted in Germany by S.P. Gerz, GmbH 1993 The Curtis Publishing Company. The stein has a certificate of authenticity and the original box. Normally, the metal tag attached to the handle would contain a stein number but it appears that this stein escaped that process (maybe one of a kind?). However, the original sales receipt is available and shows its shipment from Anheuser Busch on 1/21/95 at an the original cost of 0 plus freight charges and tax.
This stein was part of my father-in-law's collection. It was never used and is in very fine condition. The box is in good condition with signs of age and wear on edges and corners of the box. See all pictures as this is the actual stein.
Box measures 7.25" x 14" x 6.5" and weighs 3.85 pounds without packing.
