    Description

    For sale is an Australian aboriginal open weave mat.
    It is 27 inches in diameter not counting the fringes:  The mat is in very good condition for its age and only needs to be straightened out.
    The only information available about this object is from an Australian museum which leads me to believe their on not many available on the open market.
    This mat is from the Torres Strait Islands; circa 1920s.
    I have been selling tribal art on ebay since 1999 so buy with confidence.
