POT DUANG (Bullet coins)
Pot duang had globular, or ball-like shape. It was fashioned from a short bar of silver, bent or folded into a ball from both ends, and hammered until the entire bar had a fairly round form of an old-fashioned bullet. Pot Duang was in circulation for more than 600 years from the Sukhothai period down to the early Bangkok period.
Pot duang was made in different denominations. The most popular denominations were the baht and the salueng.
